Pastor Martin Porter, Logos Faith Development
Pastor Martin Porter is a faith-based real estate developer and a dedicated pastor in the nation’s oldest African American denomination. As Founder and Managing Partner of Los Angeles-based Logos Faith Development, he leads a development pipeline valued at $700 million that spans more than 2,000 units and encompasses more than 30 faith-based organizations.
Logos Faith Development is a Los Angeles-based developer that partners with churches to build much-needed affordable housing in Southern California. Logos Faith Development operates under a non-profit-partner model that produces a tax-deferred development to benefit churches and investors, while working to help solve the affordable housing crisis.
Martin founded the organization in 2017, and continues to expand Logos’ development team, secure strategic capital commitments and focus on bringing new affordable housing projects to fruition in Southern California. Before his time with Logos, Martin had senior leadership positions at national and regional real estate firms, earning recognition as a top producer and recruiter while fostering cultures of retention and growth.
Beyond real estate, Porter’s ministry supports empowering families and developing future leaders. He earned his bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and is pursuing a master’s in divinity (MDIV), integrating both disciplines to drive lasting impact.
These are some of the reasons why Martin Porter was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s first annual AB 100 Developer of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
