Camilo Miguel Jr., Mast Capital
Camilo Miguel Jr. is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mast Capital, a vertically integrated real estate investment and development firm. Under Miguel’s leadership, Mast Capital has established itself as a market leader in real estate, investing and developing high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality properties, particularly in regions with significant barriers to entry.
Prior to launching Mast Capital in 2006, Miguel founded and served as President of Vertica Group, a land investment and strategic development firm, where he managed all facets of the business. He also started Clear Title Group, a specialized firm in real estate title insurance.
Miguel’s community involvement includes serving on the Real Estate Advisory Board at his alma mater. He is also involved with the Urban Land Institute’s Southeast Florida Advisory Board, a member of the Board of Perez Art Museum, and works with The Center for Arts and Innovation, where he leads the building committee. He also contributes to the Urban Development and Mixed-Use Council (UDMUC) and the Urban Land Institute’s Red National Council.
Miguel is a graduate of the University of Miami with a degree in business management.
These are some of the reasons why Camilo Miguel Jr. was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s first annual AB 100 Developer of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
