MaryAnne Gilmartin, MAG Partners
MaryAnne Gilmartin is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MAG Partners, a WBE-certified real estate development company she launched in 2018. Today, the company has a $1 billion development pipeline in New York. Included are the mixed-income residential building Ruby at 243 W. 28th Street, and luxury residential buildings Mabel (335 Eighth Avenue) and Anagram Turtle Bay (300 East 50th Street).
Her previous job was President and CEO of Forest City Ratner Companies, where she oversaw a ground-up development and managed its multimillion-square-foot residential, commercial and retail portfolio. MaryAnne also served as Chair of the Board of Directors and interim Chief Executive Officer of the Mack-Cali Realty Corporation.
Gilmartin serves as Chair Emeritus of the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, member of the Brooklyn Academy of Music Board of Trustees, member of the New York Public Radio Board of Trustees, and member of the Executive Committee and Board of Governors of the Real Estate Board of New York.
She is part of the Industry Advisory Board of the M.S. Real Estate Development Program at Columbia University and a member of the institution’s real estate advisory board in the Center for AI in Business Analytics & FinTech. In addition to her civic and industry board service, Gilmartin was appointed to the board of global investment banking firm Jefferies Group LLC and chairs its ESG, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
These are some of the reasons why MaryAnne Gilmartin was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s first annual AB 100 Developer of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
