Greg West, ZOM Living
Greg West is the Chief Executive Officer of ZOM Living. He joined the company in 1997 and has been involved with all aspects of the development process since then, including identifying new opportunities, compiling due diligence and overseeing underwriting parameters. West is also responsible for project design, permitting, construction, business development and investor relations.
While with ZOM, West has handled the development of over 20,000 multifamily units. Presently, ZOM has over 5,400 units under construction and in pre-development in Florida, Texas, Arizona, the Carolinas and the Mid-Atlantic.
He serves on the Board of Directors of the National Multifamily Housing Council and the Urban Land Institute Americas’ Executive Committee. West is the ULI’s Networks Chair and Global Governing Trustee. He is also a member of the ULI Randall Lewis Center for Sustainability in Real Estate and the University of Miami’s Master Construction Management program’s advisory boards.
West earned his B.A. in Accounting from Southern Methodist University and two M.S. degrees—in land development and construction management—from Texas A&M University.
These are some of the reasons why Greg West was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s first annual AB 100 Developer of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
