Brian Natwick, Crescent Communities
Brian Natwick is the Chairman and CEO of Crescent Communities. He has three decades of real estate investment and development experience, representing $10.5 billion in total capitalization. He is responsible for vision and strategic oversight of a full suite of complementary businesses, including multifamily and single-family rentals.
Crescent Communities is a nationally recognized, market-leading real estate investor, developer and operator of mixed-use communities. Since 1963, the company’s development portfolio has included more than 77 multifamily communities, 24 million square feet of commercial space and 60 single-family master-planned communities.
Before joining Crescent Communities in 2006, Natwick held senior management and executive positions at Centex Construction Company (now Balfour Beatty), Skanska USA Building and Moss & Associates.
Natwick serves on the board of trustees for Queens University of Charlotte and Charlotte Christian School and is an active member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), Urban Land Institute, National Multifamily Housing Council and National Association of Home Builders. He is the former board chair of Habitat for Humanity Charlotte (former board chair).
He earned his bachelor’s degree in construction management from the University of Florida and an MBA from the McColl School of Business at Queens University.
These are some of the reasons why Brian Natwick was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s first annual AB 100 Developer of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
