Simon Ziff, Ackman Ziff
Simon Ziff is president of Ackman Ziff, a position he assumed in 1995. Since joining the firm as an analyst in 1989, Ziff has contributed to the firm’s arranging of over $50 billion of debt, mezzanine and equity financings for some of the nation’s foremost real estate developers and owners while solidifying the firm’s relationships with key capital sources.
Ziff received a B.S. in Finance from Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. in Real Estate Finance from New York University. New York University awarded him its second-ever distinguished Real Estate Alumni Recognition Award. He has also been recognized multiple times by the Real Estate Board of New York.
Ziff has also been honored with REBNY’s prestigious Louis Smadbeck Broker Recognition Award in recognition of his positive influence on the real estate brokerage industry over the past 17 years.
In the community, Ziff has been active in leadership roles of multiple not-for-profit organizations.
These are some of the reasons why Simon Ziff was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s first annual AB 100 Dealmaker of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
