Maggie Burke, Capital One
Maggie Burke is senior vice president with Capital One. In this role, Burke and her team financed more than $1 billion in debt and equity transactions over the past year. In addition to arranging debt solutions, Burke and her team provide strategic insight to borrowers that helps organize the most efficient capital stack to meet their needs.
She is Capital One’s sole representative on the Freddie Mac Advisory Committee, providing real-time feedback to the agency and creating a frictionless experience for Freddie Mac borrowers. She also supports the Mortgage Bankers Association mPact Advisory Committee with advocacy work, tracking federal and state policy proposals that could impact the broader industry.
Burke continues to look for ways to improve relationships and insights. For example, she collaborates with a cross-functional team of CRE professionals, technologists and data scientists to unlock how data can be generated and leveraged to inform deals.
Burke is active in Capital One’s CRE Mentor Program and CREW Tampa Bay. She raises college scholarship funds for women students studying commercial real estate through her work with RENEW and works with Project Destined.
These are some of the reasons why Maggie Burke was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s first annual AB 100 Dealmaker of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
