Payton Mayes, JPI
Payton Mayes is the Chief Executive Officer, part-owner and board member of JPI, a national developer, builder and investment manager of Class A multifamily assets across the U.S. Mays oversees and leads all components of JPI’s operations. As a member of the JPI Executive Leadership Team, he also provides strategic direction and guidance on initiatives, including leadership and culture.
A CFA® charterholder, Mayes previously held executive jobs at DHIC Communities, Cephas Partners (which he co-founded) and Merrill Lynch Global Real Estate Principal Investments.
Mayes is active in the community, serving as chairman of the boards of The National Christian Foundation of North Texas and Lionheart Children’s Academy. He is also a member of the Texas A&M Real Estate at Mays Business School Founders Board and the Northeast Tarrant County A&M Club.
Mayes earned his B.S. in Agribusiness and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Texas A&M University.
