Katy Carmical joined Hunton Andrews Kurth’s Dallas office as Partner earlier this year. Her previous position was Shareholder with Winstead PC’s Houston office. In her current Role, Carmical represents owners, developers and investors in real estate transactions covering all asset types, with a focus on retail, office, life sciences and healthcare.

Her practice encompasses a broad range of transaction types, including financing, leasing, acquisition, disposition, construction and development of improved and unimproved single asset and portfolio properties.

Notable experiences include representation of a publicly traded healthcare REIT in its disposition of a $1.1 billion, 61-property healthcare real state portfolio and representation of a landlord in negotiation of a 350,000-square-foot, build-to-suit headquarters lease of a leading coffee and beverage facility.

Carmical is a member of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section. Best Lawyers recognized her as “Ones to Watch,” Real Estate Law.
