Alejandro Arias is a real estate attorney and Partner in Holland & Knight’s Miami office, where he focuses his practice on land use and zoning matters. Arias works with development teams (owners, architects, engineers and contractors), meets with key constituencies, interacts with government officials and staff, prepares public outreach messaging and lobbies elected officials.
Throughout his career, he has obtained a multitude of development entitlement approvals for many projects, including multifamily housing, master-planned residential subdivisions, retail and commercial uses, live/work developments and student housing complexes. He has a particular interest in the legal and business elements of the real estate development process.
His business affiliations include membership on Holland & Knight’s Association Liaison Committee, the Environmental and Land Use Law Section and Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar and the Urban Land Institute (where he took part in the Leadership Institute). Arias services the community through involvement with the Belen Alumni Association of Jesuit Schools from Cuba and Miami, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (as a Young Ambassador) and Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida.
Florida Super Lawyers Magazine named Arias a “Rising Star,” while he was named to Florida International University Young Alumni Network’s “5 Under 35” list. Other accolades include Holland & Knight Pro Bono All-Star and CALI Excellence for the Future Award.
