Jason W. Howard

Jason Howard is the co-chair of Alston & Bird’s Real Estate Finance & Investment Group; his practice concentration is in real estate and finance. Howard represents developers, purchasers, and sellers in all aspects of the acquisition and disposition of mixed-use, office, multifamily residential, and industrial projects and portfolios. He represents both lenders and borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions and workouts, including commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans, asset-based loans, and project financings.

As a member of the firm’s Coronavirus Task Force, Howard has also advised clients on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on their real estate agreements, including office and retail leases and construction contracts.

Howard is listed in The Best Lawyers in America© in the Real Estate category. He has been named a “Client Service All-Star” in BTI Consulting Group’s (BTI) annual survey of the nation’s top lawyers identified by corporate counsel as the best at serving clients.

He’s been also honored as Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta’s Volunteer of the Year and serves on that organization’s Advisory Committee. He’s also involved with the Atlanta Regional Commission Millennial Advisory Committee, Urban Land Institute, and served as board of directors with The Wren’s Nest.
