Lili Dunn is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Bell Partners, where she oversees the company’s capital sourcing, financing, investment strategy and corporate expansion. Under her leadership, Bell Partners’ assets have grown to $8 billion.

Dunn was named Bell Partners’ Chief Investment Officer in 2010, promoted to President in 2016 and added CEO to her title in 2023.

Prior to her time with Bell Partners, Dunn worked with AvalonBay Communities, where she managed transactions involving 60,000 units valued at $6.5 billion. She also helped lead the firm through its IPO.

Dunn is on the Executive Board of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and a former Chairperson of its Finance Committee. She is also Vice Chair of the Multifamily Gold Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and on the Board of Directors for the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE). She is also a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).

She was named Executive of the Year by Multi-Housing News, Executive of the Year by Multifamily Executive and a 2025 Woman of Influence by GlobeSt. Dunn is an active member of several mentoring programs within the real estate industry and supports organizations helping families in poverty.

She earned her BBA from the University of Michigan.

These are some of the reasons why Lili Dunn was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s first annual AB 100 Owner/Investor of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
