Nicole Ament, shareholder and Real Estate Department Chair with Denver’s Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck oversees all the attorneys in the department, acts as a mentor to new shareholders and associates, and drives the overall strategic direction of the group working directly with the firm’s Executive Committee. She previously served as chair of the firm’s national Hospitality, Resort and Recreation practice group.

In her more than 20 years of experience, she has worked with complex real estate portfolios and large single assets, specializing in land use, development, financing and disposition unique to real estate portfolios with emphasis on resort and recreation work. She has managed transactions with as many as 276 properties in a single portfolio and in excess of $1.5 billion in assets in industries including hotels, golf courses, ski areas, health care facilities, manufactured housing communities and athletic clubs.

Ament is actively involved with the Urban Land Institute, having served on ULI Colorado’s Executive Committee and on the leadership team of the Recreation Development Product Council. Ament also co-founded Brownstein’s Women’s Leadership Initiative.

She currently is on the Downtown Denver Partnership Civic Ventures Inc. Board and previously served in active leadership roles with the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce. Other community endeavors include Dress for Success, Parkinson Association of the Rockies and the Kempe Foundation.

Amend has been named to Best Lawyers in America, a Colorado Super Lawyer and as one of Bisnow’s Denver Power Women.
