Brandee L. Caswell

Brandee Caswell leads the eminent domain and real estate litigation practice in Faegre Drinker offices across the country. Caswell leverages real estate experience and litigation prowess to resolve complex, high-value disputes involving eminent domain, land use, owners’ associations, special districts and property valuation.

She is an experienced and effective first-chair trial lawyer who has arbitrated and litigated cases in state and federal court in numerous jurisdictions including Colorado, California, Illinois, Florida, Minnesota Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming Caswell has represented clients before judges, juries, arbitrators and commissioners.

Her decades-long eminent domain practice includes work on behalf of both landowners and condemning authorities in all types of condemnation proceedings, including highway expansions, utility projects and mixed-use/retail redevelopment projects. Caswell continues to be recognized by Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers as an authority in the field of eminent domain and is a frequent lecturer on eminent domain topics locally and nationally for the American Law Institute.

She does pro bono work for the National Veterans Legal Services program and has served on the University of Kansas Law School’s Board of Governors and YMCA of Metropolitan Denver Board of Trustees. The Downtown Denver YMCA has honored her as Volunteer of the Year.
