Benjamin Thinnes is Partner with Dorsey & Whitney’s Phoenix office. In this position, his focus is on commercial real estate and finance transactions. He counsels clients on all aspects of purchase and sale transactions, real estate financing, office, industrial and retail leasing, and development of real property.

Thinnes has also assisted clients with golf course and private club purchases, sales, development, financing, turnovers and equity conversions. He represents developers, financial institutions, and public and private real estate investment companies across a variety of asset types. These include office and industrial properties, retail centers, master-planned communities, multi-family developments, redevelopment projects, condominium projects, golf courses and private clubs.

Thinnes is a life member with Executive Counsel, as well as a member of NAIOP, ULI, ICSC, American Bar Association, State Bar of Arizona and the Maricopa County Bar Association. He’s been listed as Best Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year—Commercial Finance Law and Best Lawyers in America—Real Estate Law.
