Steven Becker is Partner and Practice Group Leader—Commercial Construction U.S. with the Kansas City, MO office of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner. Becker’s broad spectrum of experience allows him to effectively navigate complicated projects, negotiating and drafting all types of agreements.

He has represented public and private companies in a variety of projects, including manufacturing plants, multi-family housing projects, and large multi-tenant retail complexes. He helps clients from ground breaking to ribbon cutting—and beyond.

Notable experiences include representing a project owner in engineering and construction of a $200 million export facility transaction, representing a wind farm developer in successfully resolving a subcontractor mechanic’s claims concerning cost overruns, and operating on behalf of a private investor on a $400 million airport renovation and expansion in Amman, Jordan.

In addition to his busy and active practice, Becker shares his experience and passion by mentoring other lawyers at the firm and is the chair of the Recruiting Committee in Kansas City.

Becker has been regularly listed by The Best Lawyers in America, as well as The Legal 500. He was also named to Ingram’s 40 Under Forty ranking.
