Mark Silverman is Partner at Locke Lord’s Chicago office. His focus is on resolving issues concerning creditors’ rights, loan workouts, bankruptcy and loan enforcement. He advises large, midsized and small banks; financial institutions and financial technology companies across the country. As Locke Lord’s CMBS Special Servicer Team Leader, Silverman also works with the nation’s largest CMBS special servicers.

Silverman’s focus is on many sectors, including retail shopping centers and strip malls, hospitality and hotels, commercial and multi-family real estate, healthcare and medical facilities, industrial, manufacturing, transportation, along with more esoteric assets such as taxicab medallions and golf courses.

He’s a member of the Turnaround Management Association and has been named Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star, Creditor Debtor Rights, Business Litigation, Bankruptcy. He’s also been recognized by the Best Lawyers in America, Commercial Litigation, as a Notable Rising Star in Law by Crain’s Chicago Business and by Connect CRE as its 2021 Lawyer In Real Estate honoree.
