Reia Tong is an Assistant Vice President at Douglaston Development. She is responsible for leading deals through contract procurement, closing, construction, and lease-up phases, while managing internal and external stakeholders.

Tong was instrumental in closing construction financing for 2868 Webster Avenue, a $190-million, 277-unit affordable housing development, which followed the successful completion of 2850 Webster Avenue. Tong is also heading 220 East 138th Street, an affordable housing project on the Harlem River waterfront.

She regularly mentors junior members of the Douglaston Development team and takes charge of piloting new community engagement models. She is a member of the Japan Society and raises funds for CaringKind, supporting Alzheimer’s and dementia caregiving initiatives.

Tong has been recognized by various trade and business publications, such as being named on Commercial Observer’s Top Young Professionals list. Her projects have also been nominated and recognized for innovation and excellence.

These are just a few reasons we chose Reia Tong as one of Connect CRE’s New York & Tri-State 2025 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
