Matt Swerdlow is a senior director of the Capital Services Group at Ariel Property Advisors. He is responsible for debt and equity placement nationwide and has expertise in value-added and structured financing across all asset classes.

Within the past year he sourced a $33.75-million acquisition loan for the 151-unit Renoir House (Upper East Side), a $23.35-million loan to finance the $31-million value-add acquisition of an 82-unit multifamily property (Manhattan) and an $11.57-million refinance for a 61-unit portfolio of mixed-use buildings (South Bronx).

He is an editor and contributor to Ariel’s Capital Markets Monthly newsletter, published after each Federal Reserve FOMC meeting. Swerdlow is also a resource for reporters and market analysts focusing on commercial real estate trends in the capital markets. In the community, Swerdlow has been involved with iMentor NYC, which mentors work with first-generation students from historically marginalized communities.
