Cara Chayet is a senior vice president in CBRE’s New York Consulting Group. She develops and executes comprehensive real estate strategies tailored to align with her clients’ operational, financial, and qualitative goals.

In her 13 years at CBRE, Chayet has played an important role in 24 transactions above 100,000 square feet, seven of which totaled more than 250,000 square feet.

Chayet has handled over 300 transactions, totaling more than 10 million square feet. Notable deals include S&P Global’s 900,000-square-foot renewal at 55 Water Street, Publicis Group’s 977,000-square-foot renewal and expansion at 375 Hudson Street and KPMG’s 456,000-square-foot relocation to 2 Manhattan West.

Chayet is a board member of CBRE’s Tri-State Women’s Network; as the network’s philanthropy chair, she has coordinated volunteer days with organizations such as Bottomless Closet and the Student Leadership Network.

She is involved with civic organizations and industry organizations in New York City, one of which was a founding board member of the Next-Gen Junior Board of the Student Leadership Network.

Chayet has been honored with CBRE’s Inaugural Rising Star and Consulting Group Professional of the Year Awards and with Commercial Observer’s 30 under 30 accolade.
