Bryan E. Powell

As a Shareholder with Lane Powell’s Portland, OR office, Bryan Powell advises owners, developers, investors and lenders on all aspects of real estate development, financing, leasing and management. He has extensive experience counseling clients on industrial, office and retail mixed-use development, private/public redevelopment, seniors housing projects and real estate financing, including joint venturing, deal structuring, sales and acquisitions, leasing and management.  

He routinely assists developer, investor and lender clients in business deal structuring and in finding creative financing solutions for challenging projects.

Powell has broad experience in real estate finance, secured lending, workouts and loan restructuring. He has worked on a significant number of projects that included financing with federal funds or agency insured programs; state and local financing incentives, including bond financing; and various tax-credit programs.

His industry involvement includes board membership with the Portland State University Center for Real Estate and NAIOP’s Oregon Chapter, and executive committee membership with the Oregon State Bar, Real Estate and Land Use Section. Powell also served executive positions with the Friends of the Children Museum of Portland and Portland Children’s Museum.

Powell is a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys and a member of The Counselors of Real Estate.  He is perennially listed in Real Estate Law in The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA and in Oregon Super Lawyers. Martindale-Hubbell’s Peer Review ranks him as AV Preeminent.
