Angelica Dichoco
Manages an underwriting pipeline exceeding $1.5 billion
Involved with handling a $233 million credit facility for a Hawaiian multifamily property
Over 27 years, Angelica Dichoco has led a successful commercial real estate finance career, leading her to her current role as Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriter of Walker & Dunlop’s Small Balance division. In this role, she helps define and execute the strategic direction of the small balance platform, increasing market share, driving annual volume, and administering credit policy. Dichoco also oversees credit for Fannie Mae Small and Conventional Loans, Freddie Mac SBL Program, and Walker & Dunlop’s proprietary capital program, Walker Private Lending.
Dichoco manages an underwriting pipeline exceeding $1.5 billion annually and has originated approximately $16 billion across 1,500 loans since joining Walker & Dunlop. One standout transaction was her involvement in orchestrating a $233 million credit facility for a unique property in Hawaii. This multifaceted deal involved 1,450 units on 417 acres of oceanfront land owned by the US Navy.
Dichoco is a dedicated advocate and active member of Walker & Dunlop’s ERGs, including Women of Walker & Dunlop (WoWD) and the AsiaPac Alliance. She has been a guest speaker for the Black Empowerment Network ERG and the WD Women’s History Month Podcast. Dichoco is also an active NMHC Women in Multifamily member and works with Project Destined through Walker & Dunlop.
Dichoco helped co-launch Walker & Dunlop’s Athena Award. The company has honored her as Employee of the Quarter and awarded her Fannie Mae’s Most Creative Financing Award.
