Laura Beaton is a Managing Director of Mortgage Banking at Berkadia, based in Boston. She handles market-rate, student, senior, and affordable housing transactions. Focusing on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lending, Beaton has experience with debt funds, CMBS, life companies and construction loan programs.

During her more than two-decade career, she has been involved in over $10 billion of multifamily financings. As of 2025, Beaton has led a team that financed over $100 million in deals that involved complicated tax abatement programs, which are challenging to secure debt solutions for in the current market. Her efforts generated substantial net operating income for clients, significantly contributing to their investment success.

Beaton is a mentor to her teammates and is always willing to have discussions with women exploring a producer role.

In the community, Beaton is a board member and chair of the Investment Committee for a nonprofit children’s science museum. She is also active on her children’s school finance committee and volunteers regularly.
