Kirstin Brown
Leads portfolio containing $2 billion in projects
Notable highlights include oversight of 500,000-square-foot lab/office building
As Principal and President of Northstar Project & Real Estate Services, Kirstin Brown is responsible for shaping the company’s overall strategy, business development and marketing, succession planning, and client relationships. She is also a project executive with some of Northstar’s most visible assignments.
Her portfolio includes more than $2 billion in projects. These include Northeastern University’s 23-story, 1,216-bed mixed-use tower at 840 Columbus Avenue, MIT’s 10-story, 675-bed graduate student housing complex and BioMed Realty’s 500,000-square-foot office/lab building, structured parking, new infrastructure, and a one-acre public park in its multi-phase Assembly Innovation Park in Somerville.
Brown chairs Northstar’s Charitable Committee, which supports various organizations, including Boston Children’s Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, The Greater Boston Food Bank and Heading Home. She leads the Compass Committee, which fosters an inclusive culture. Brown trains employees on client engagement, ethical leadership and project excellence.
She has served on the Board of Directors for CoreNet Global New England and was Vice Chair for the Real Estate & Building Industry Breakfast for the United Way.
Brown’s accolades include Entrepreneur of the Year (CREW Boston), Outstanding Women of Commercial Real Estate (Boston Real Estate Times) and the Americas Service Provider Leadership Award (CoreNet Global).
