Handles matters that balance execution with strategic value

Deals focus on properties over 50,000 square feet

Scott Newmark is Co-Chair of Meister Seelig & Fein’s Real Estate Group, where he advises institutional owners, developers, lenders, tenants and entrepreneurs. His practice features acquisitions and dispositions, complex leasing transactions, financing and refinancing, loan workouts, and condominium and cooperative offerings.

Newmark’s portfolio includes major retail redevelopment projects and refinancings involving diverse commercial assets.

Over the past year, Newmark led significant retail and office leasing transactions involving properties exceeding 50,000 square feet, high-value portfolio sales, and multimillion-dollar financings for national and international companies. He has guided landlords and tenants through market-defining leases in New York and nationwide, while assisting with complex restructurings and sublease arrangements.

The firm’s litigators frequently call upon Newmark to assess real estate-related claims and defenses, reflecting a reputation for sound judgment and deep transactional experience. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping MSF’s reputation as one of the most dynamic middle-market real estate practices in the country.

These are some of the reasons why Scott Newmark received Connect CRE’s 2025 New York & Tri-State Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
