Cole Schotz Environmental Practice member Jill Richardson has expertise in environmental law pertaining to real estate practices, brownfield redevelopment and remediation, due diligence and compliance, and insurance and risk mitigation. Recent notable matters include leading environmental due diligence on behalf of a CRE financier concerning multimillion-dollar multifamily acquisitions. Richardson also negotiated liability protection and environmental issuance coverage for a $230-million industrial portfolio sale.

Richardson is a committed industry leader. She is on the Executive Board of the NAIOP NYC Metro Chapter as Secretary and is the incoming President. She also served as Co-Chair of NAIOP NYC’s Events Committee and was a member of the New York City Bar Association Environmental Law Committee. Richardson is a frequent contributor to industry panels and events focused on redevelopment and sustainability.

Richardson mentors younger professionals, promotes sustainable development practices, and advances the dialogue around environmental risk management in urban real estate.
