Martins successfully led the Fried Frank team in guiding Brookfield through multiple deals, including the $3.8-billion acquisition of Watermark Lodging Trust, a non-traded REIT that owns and operates a portfolio of luxury upscale hotels and resorts, including Marriott and Ritz-Carlton properties. She also led the team representing Brookfield in its $1.55-billion acquisition of a 23-property, 7,300-unit multifamily portfolio from Starwood Capital Group. Additionally, Martins’ team assisted in forming a joint venture with Silverstein Properties to develop the 1.56-million-square-foot, mixed-use tower at 5 World Trade Center.
A member of her firm’s Governance Committee, Martins mentors junior partners and associates and is involved in various associate onboarding, training, and development initiatives. She is also a member of the firm’s Women in Real Estate group. Additionally, Martins led Fried Frank’s partnership with Project Destined.
Her community service includes United Way of New York City’s Board of Directors membership.
