Uses self-help evictions to help clients avoid lengthy court battles

Adam Leitman Bailey of Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C., founded his eponymous firm in 2000 and now has 21 full-time attorneys. The firm revolutionized the practice of landlord-tenant law. By proposing and using self-help evictions and license agreements, clients have avoided lengthy court battles, and commercial landowners have been able to take back their commercial rent spaces without court intervention.

The firm has also been at the forefront of efforts to facilitate New York’s foreclosure process, representing lenders. Some of these lenders and title companies include Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Bank of America and many investment banks. Additionally, the firm continues to use legislation and arcane laws to change the marketplace.

The firm supports Building Foundations Inc., a non-profit organization that provides educational and other resources to underprivileged children in the NYC community. Bailey also leads local high school students on historical walking tours of downtown Manhattan’s famous landmarks.

The firm’s successes have led to the highest honors and awards from the bar and ranking organizations.
