Daniel Evans co-chairs Seyfarth’s Real Estate Finance practice. He represents members of the lending and borrowing communities in all commercial real estate finance aspects, from loan originations and sales to workouts and restructurings. He structures and closes mortgage and mezzanine loan transactions nationwide, including capital markets, interim/bridge, construction, and balance sheet loans.

Evans has worked on financing major office buildings, hospitality properties, retail and industrial centers, and multifamily properties and is familiar with lender and owner concerns.

Recent deals include representing a mezzanine lender in the origination of a $150-million construction loan facility secured by a northern New Jersey mixed-use project. He also represented a mortgage lender in originating a $350-million loan secured by a property portfolio in the Southwest.

Evans writes for the New York Law Journal and the New York Bar Association’s newsletters. He also regularly appears on Seyfarth’s podcast, “The Property Line.” Evans is regularly ranked as a Recommended Attorney for Real Estate Finance in The Legal 500.
