Oversees company's lending operations; provides counsel to senior management

Dayna Hillier is Managing Director, Operations and Chief Compliance Officer of Veleta Capital. In this role, Veleta is responsible for overseeing the lending operations including credit and underwriting, closing, loan servicing and compliance. Leveraging her wide scope of operations experience, Hillier provides high-level counsel to senior management across multiple departments.
Her 13 years of real estate and financial services experience includes working in corporate governance, investor relations, human resources, information technology, legal, compliance, and risk management. Hillier offers a deep understanding of commercial real estate, finance, investments, fund management, audit, tax, underwriting, compliance, servicing and asset management. Her unique, holistic perspective makes her an integral part of Veleta’s senior executive team.
Before joining Veleta, Hillier was the Director of Operations at Civic Financial Services, where she led the buildout and launch of Civic Multifamily. Prior to Civic, Hillier served as Vice President of Corporate Services at Wilshire Finance Partners, a commercial portfolio lender specializing in small balance bridge loans.
Hillier is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Greater Los Angeles Apartment Association, the NAA and the NMHC.
