Carrie Bobb
Founded retail brokerage and retail real-estate-focused digital marketing company
Inspiration for "Carrie's Law," federal legislation to remove rape and sexual assault from arbitration clauses
Carrie Bobb is founder and CEO of the retail brokerage company Carrie Bobb & Co. She also launched HelloJenny with business partner Jayson Siano. HelloJenny is a category-creating, retail real estate-focused digital marketing company. Through methodical use of social media, Bob and her company are setting a new standard for marketing and brokering retail companies.
Since launching her real estate career in 2003, Bobb has completed transactions totaling more than $2 billion. She also successfully designed and executed leasing strategies, representing tenants like West Elm, Cinepolis, Restoration Hardware, Joe & The Juice, Havaianas, Ann Taylor, The Shade Store, Union Bank and Fleet Feet.
When the retail leasing industry was on pause due to COVID-19, Bobb and her team were helped landlords drive revenue for their existing tenants both digitally and to brick and mortar. They also helped landlords connect digitally and build relationships with prospective tenants. Bobb also transformed social media analytics into leasing tools.
Bobb’s passion includes workplace protection for people. This prompted her to join forces with her sister. Her story of workplace sexual assault provided the inspiration behind federal legislation to remove rape and sexual assault from 60 million arbitration clauses in employment contracts. Colloquially known as “Carrie’s Law,” H.R. 2906, a bipartisan bill, was introduced to the House of Representatives by Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) and Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA). The bill was signed into law in spring 2022.
Bobb has appeared on panels on behalf of Intel, Women in PropTech, CREi and ULI San Diego/Tijuana. She is a member of the Female Founder Collective and CREW San Diego. Bobb also serves on a CREW Network Council, where she mentors a real estate student from the University of San Diego.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose Carrie Bobb as one of California’s 2022 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
