Christine Deschaine, Senior Vice President at Kennedy Wilson Brokerage, is passionate about enhancing communities through professional and volunteer work and creating value in central business districts across greater Los Angeles while improving the lives of those who live there. Deschaine specializes in retail brokerage with a focus on urban development, serving as an advisor to institutional and private capital owners, tenants and developers.
Deschaine has been an integral member of the senior team at Kennedy Wilson Brokerage since 2013. She is currently the exclusive agent for more than 580,000 square feet of commercial space. Since 2020, she completed more than 117,000 square feet of commercial real estate transactions valued at over $67 million.
During the pandemic, she closed significant leases and sales. These included Erewhon Market’s $17 million at The Culver Steps; Cypress Equity Investment’s $16.5 million sale of a 30,000 square-foot retail property at 1902-1914 Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica; and The Real Real’s second L.A. area brick and mortar location at 26th and San Vicente.
Deschaine’s 30-year career has included establishing strong connections within various city departments; she currently serves on the Board of the Downtown Burbank Partnership. Within the industry, board affiliations include the local ICSC chapter and CREW-LA. Her community involvement includes work with organizations like The People Concern and Harvest Home. She is the founding member of ThinSpace Africa and is the first American on the board of Bringing Hope to the Family Uganda. She is also a highly regarded mentor at Kennedy Wilson, sharing her experience and insight with younger associates.
