IMEG’s Scott Campagna Advances Multifamily Through Modular Housing and Adaptive Reuse
As IMEG Corp.’s managing principal and vice president of housing, Scott Campagna brings more than 23 years of multifamily housing experience to his role. A licensed mechanical engineer, he leads the firm’s national housing strategy across multifamily, student housing, senior living and mixed-use projects.
At 5001 Eisenhower in Alexandria, VA, Campagna led IMEG’s structural, MEP, civil and fire-protection design for the conversion of a former office building into a 10-story condominium development.
He also spearheaded engineering for the Sharon modular housing prototype, designed to provide 64 to 72 units per building in Texas and Arizona. The repeatable design is intended to streamline approvals and construction, potentially providing a faster, more scalable response to housing shortages.
Campagna has also worked on projects addressing affordable and senior housing needs. At Renaissance West in Charlotte, NC, his efforts contributed to a redevelopment that combines affordable housing with a child development center, K-8 school and wraparound services. He is also leading engineering design for a 210-unit continuing-care community in Rye Brook, NY.
Beyond project work, Campagna hosts IMEG’s Future Built Smarter: Housing Edition podcast, exploring issues including mass timber, sustainability, historic tax credits and housing policy. He is a member of CREW’s Affordable Housing Council and mentors emerging professionals.
His honors include Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, ASHRAE’s Top 5 Engineer recognition and the CREW Network Catalyst of the Year award.
These are some of the reasons why Scott Campagna was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Developer of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
