As an associate director with Walker & Dunlop, Skye Stansbury is responsible for financing income-producing multifamily properties across the United States. Her work spans conventional apartments as well as affordable, manufactured, and student housing.
Since joining Walker & Dunlop in 2017, Stansbury has been directly involved in arranging over $10 billion in financing across more than 400 properties. She was part of the team that structured Walker & Dunlop’s largest transaction to date, a $2.4-billion Fannie Mae Credit Facility financing a portfolio of 22,439 units, over 60% of which qualify as mission-driven, affordable housing under FHFA guidelines.
Another standout example is the $106.3-million financing for Agora, a Class A, 334-unit high-rise multifamily property in Washington, DC.
In addition to her daily responsibilities, Stansbury serves the leadership committee of Women of Walker & Dunlop (WoWD). She has also served as a recurring mentor for Project Destined and helped launch the company’s Emerging Producers Program.
Stansbury is a member of several industry associations, including the Urban Land Institute, the Mortgage Bankers Association and DC Real Estate Group. In the community, she supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington by serving on its Youth & Real Estate committee.
Connect CRE honored her with its Next Generation Award.
These are just a few reasons Skye Stansbury is among the Washington DC & Mid-Atlantic Connect CRE 2025 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
