A notable deal includes the $233-million disposition of 1500 Locust
Lizann McGowan is Northmarq’s Managing Director and leads the company’s investment sales team in the Greater Philadelphia region. Activities include the disposition and capitalization of all forms of multifamily real estate, encompassing both existing assets and development projects.
McGowan joined Northmarq in June 2025, following senior-level positions at CBRE and Newmark.
She has been involved in transactions totaling more than $12 billion, including some of the largest, most complex and record-setting in the Philadelphia region. One notable accomplishment is the $233-million disposition of 1500 Locust, which at the time represented the largest single-asset sale in Pennsylvania.
McGowan serves on Northmarq’s Institutional Advisory Group and actively mentors many of the firm’s young brokerage professionals. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Villanova Alumni Association and is the former president of the association’s Philadelphia Chapter. She was a member of the inaugural advisory board for the DiLella Real Estate School at Villanova University and has served as a guest lecturer at the school, as well as a speaker at Villanova’s College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
McGowan is a member of the Newtown Township Planning Commission and the Steering Committee for the Newtown Township Comprehensive Strategic Plan. She is a member of the Enrollment Advisory Board at the Academy of Notre Dame, a private all-girls school in suburban Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Business Journal honored her with its Women of Distinction Award and recognized her as a Leader to Watch in Real Estate. She also received the Gary J. Beban Teamwork Award at CBRE and numerous awards from the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Best Real Estate Deals.
