Negotiated a 238,000-square-foot lease with Bank of America

Involved with the design and leasing of spec properties in North Texas

Aarica Mims is the Senior Vice President of Development at KDC. Her responsibilities include corporate office build-to-suit pursuits, marketing of strategic land ventures and acquisitions of new assets. She is a leasing expert, guiding the daily decision-making that continues to expand KDC’s development platform.

One highlight of her career involved negotiating one of North Texas’s largest single-tenant leases in 2023 — the 238,000-square-foot lease of Bank of America at Parkside Tower, adjacent to Klyde Warren Park. She has also been involved in the design, development, implementation, and leasing of speculative office properties in Plano, Uptown Dallas, downtown Dallas, and Southlake, as well as the redevelopment of Factory Six03.

Mims is actively involved with the KDC Cares Program, which has developed over 380,000 square feet of facilities at little to no cost to local area nonprofits. She also has a strong impact on the CRE industry through her mentorship of young women.

She serves on the NAIOP North Texas Chapter’s board, focusing on membership and programming, and has received the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation. She is also a member of The Real Estate Council of Dallas and serves as a corporate council member for Klyde Warren Park.

In the community, Mims is a member of the Cattle Barron’s Ball, where she serves on the Underwriting Committee and is Co-Chair of the Trailblazers and Underwriting Parties. She’s active with the American Cancer Society and the Armstrong Elementary PTA.

Mims has been recognized as a Bisnow CRE Rising Star and one of GlobeSt.’s CRE Aspiring Leaders. She was also named a Top 20 Under 40 honoree for the Dallas-area People Newspapers publication.

These are just a few reasons Aarica Mims is among the Texas Connect CRE 2025 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
