Represented a company in the $395-million sale of an LIHTC multifamily portfolio
Worked with a public company to sell a 45-property government-leased office portfolio
Michael “Mike” Stewart is a member of Bass, Berry & Sims. He structures, negotiates and closes complex leases and transactions, handling a range of deal sizes and property types.
He is also involved in the firm’s leadership, having formerly served on the Professional Development Committee and been recently elected to the Executive Committee for a three-year term.
Notable highlights include representing a privately held real estate company in its $395-million disposition of a 12-property LIHTC multifamily portfolio, with properties in Oregon and New Mexico.
Stewart also worked with one of the nation’s largest community-based cancer care specialists on a $123 million medical office building redevelopment in Nashville. The project has over 200,000 square feet of office space and required a $100-million construction loan. Additionally, he represented a public company in the $432.5-million sale of its 45-property GSA- and government-leased office portfolio.
These are some of the reasons why Mike Stewart received Connect CRE’s 2025 Atlanta & Southeast Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
