Irwin serves as outside general counsel to an international real estate fund, providing counsel on its large-scale mixed-use developments in North Carolina. She represented a national life insurance company in originating more than $480 million in CRE loans across the U.S. Additionally, she oversaw the disposition of a $23-million property, which will be developed as rental townhomes.
She serves on Nelson Mullins’ recruiting committee and currently leads the Charlotte office’s summer associate hiring efforts as the summer associate hiring partner. As an associate mentor, she helps develop young attorneys, sharing her experience and fostering a culture of teamwork and growth.
These are some of the reasons why Katie Irwin received Connect CRE’s 2025 Atlanta & Southeast Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
