Notable transactions included a $38-million placement on a multitenant retail center

As Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation’s Senior Vice President, Ron Balys places permanent and bridge debt for all asset classes throughout California and nationwide. On average, he closes with 30 different lending sources. As one of MMCC’s top originators, he closed nearly 330 transactions totaling $1 billion within the past 10 years, placing him in MMCC’s top 10 nationwide.

Notable transactions included the placement of $38 million on a multitenant retail center in Santa Ana, CA, at a lock-in rate of 4.98%, no prepayment penalty and a 30-year amortization.

Balys joined MMCC as an analyst, working his way up to the current role. He is one of the youngest MMCC originators to receive the National Achievement Award and has won sales recognition awards yearly since 2017. He’s an outstanding mentor to younger originators and team members.

Balys paid his way through college by working in waste management and carrying two other night jobs before moving to California to practice commercial real estate. He is a young husband and father, and family takes precedence in his life.

These are a few reasons we chose Ron Balys as one of Connect CRE California’s 2024 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a vital influence on the commercial real estate industry.
