Helped quadruple IEC’s AUM while leading new-market expansions
As Interstate Equitiess’ Director of Investments, Brendan Gibney oversees all acquisitions, dispositions and capital markets efforts for Interstate Equities Corporation. He invests in multifamily properties across the West Coast, enhances the tenant experience and provides superior risk-adjusted returns for investors.
Despite an economy marked by sluggish deal volume, Gibney helped quadruple IEC’s assets under management while leading expansion in several new markets. Within the past year, he closed three significant acquisitions (two off-market) totaling $68 million. Throughout his career, he’s overseen more than $2 billion in multifamily transactions throughout the West Coast.
Gibney is heavily involved in his local community, donating to multiple causes, including Project Destined, Californians for Responsible Housing, The Guardsmen, HIF, E Family Giving Tree, REEC, and the Salovey Swensen Extravaganza.
Previous positions include leadership roles at Partners Group and JBG Companies.
