Manages portfolio of 175 properties valued at more than $8 billion

Developed and rolled out $7-million rental assistance program during COVID

As president of Western National Property Management, Laura Khouri oversees a team of 750 associates. She manages a portfolio of over 175 apartment communities in Southern California and Nevada valued at over $8 billion.

During COVID-19, Khouri and her team successfully maintained employee and resident health, safety and individual welfare. She created and rolled out a program that provided residents with over $7 million in rental assistance while spearheading a company-sponsored, zero-interest loan program that allowed each Western National associate to borrow up to $2,000 to alleviate immediate financial pressures.

During that period, Khouri also oversaw continued corporate growth through the acquisition and management takeover of more than seven new apartment communities totaling more than 1,200 units.

Her community endeavors include serving as a board member and secretary for Laura’s House, serving on the advisory board for the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute of UCI Medical Center, is an active member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society of United Way Spain, United Way Romania, and United Way France and serves as both board member and vice president for Meadow Bay North HOA II.

She also donates time and resources to community organizations, including the Cystinosis Foundation, Providence Trinity Care and Project Hope Alliance. She’s been honored with Rise Financial Pathways’ Robert A. McNeely Trailblazer Award.

These are just a few reasons we chose Laura Khouri as one of the California Connect CRE’s 2023 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and play key mentorship roles for others.
