Leads development effort for 27-acre Alewife Park life science district

Boston chapter of Professional Women in Construction active member

Since Chrissy Gabriel joined IQHQ in April 2021 as director of development, she has been a true inspiration to her colleagues as a woman leading in the male-dominated commercial real estate development industry. In her current role, Gabriel oversees a growing portfolio of innovative and cutting-edge life science commercial real estate projects in Greater Boston. She leads IQHQ’s development efforts for the Alewife Park life science district in Cambridge, which totals 27 acres and is directly adjacent to the MBTA Red Line’s Alewife Station, the most traveled public transportation line in Greater Boston.

Chrissy’s passion and perseverance in the face of complex real estate challenges have made her an invaluable asset to IQHQ’s development efforts. Her colleagues have acknowledged her as the embodiment of IQHQ’s pioneering spirit, as she combines her deep expertise with thoughtful yet progressive methods to empower the life science community to flourish and succeed.

Outside work, Gabriel is an active member of the Boston chapter of Professional Women in Construction. She is proud to serve as a role model and help support, mentor, and empower other women to achieve their full potential. She is a leader in her community, having volunteered with various charities and associations, including Santa Claus Anonymous, Cradle to Crayons and IFMA. For the past eight years, she has supported her husband with fundraising and volunteering for the Pan Mass Challenge, a 200-mile bike race to raise funds for cancer research.

These are just a few reasons we chose Chrissy Gabriel as one of the Boston & New England Connect CRE 2023 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and play key mentorship roles for others.
