Recently, he helped spearhead legislation to expedite the real estate licensing process for military service members participating in SkillBridge, a Department of Defense program that helps veterans transition to civilian careers after their military service. Theobald partnered with the California Legislature and legislative partners to draft Assembly Bill 883, which expedites real estate licenses for SkillBridge participants. The bill passed both houses of the legislature unanimously and was signed into law by Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Theobold supports several charitable organizations outside the firm, including Susan G. Komen and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  He also volunteers in youth sports and has been a finalist for the Los Angeles Business Journal’s In-House Counsel of the Year award.

Theobold earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law.

These are some of the reasons why we are honoring Tyler Theobald with Connect CRE’s 2023 California Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
