As Cox Castle’s San Francisco office partner, Ofer Elitzur focuses on affordable housing and mixed-income residential real estate projects.
Elitzur is involved in assisting with the financing and development of hundreds of thousands of units of mixed-income and low-income restricted rental housing throughout the United States. His specialty is structuring complex financings utilizing tax-exempt bonds, low-income housing tax credits, property tax exemptions and other public subsidies.
Representative matters include working on behalf of Chelsea Investment Corp. in the legal structuring, financing, and development of 306 units of affordable housing located in three separately financed apartment buildings on a County of San Diego ground lease. He also assisted Related California in developing the 89-unit affordable housing component of The Grand LA, a mixed-use project adjacent to the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
Elitzur has been recognized by Best Lawyers and as a Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Star. He was also named to San Francisco Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40. Elitzur received his law degree from Harvard Law School.
