As Morrison Foerster’s partner and co-chair of the U.S. Real Estate Group, Thomas Fileti represents clients in connection with investments in and the financing, development, operation, and disposition of real estate assets in California and throughout the United States. His practice also focuses on all types of real estate finance transactions and credit facilities. He is renowned for his experience in working with REITs.
Representative matters include working with JPMorgan Chase Bank in conjunction with a $500-million revolving line of credit to Quinn Residences. He also represented CGI Merchant Group LLP in acquiring, financing and rebranding an iconic hotel (former Trump International Hotel) in the Old Post Office building in Washington, DC.
Fileti is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. He received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
He’s been recognized by the Legal 500 (Leading Lawyer for Real Estate), Chambers U.S.A. and Best Lawyers in America. Fileti was also named a Global Leader by Who’s Who Legal.
