As Director of Investments at Greystar, Songyi Wang leads the acquisition efforts of value-add and core-plus multifamily properties in Northern California and Pacific Northwest markets. She also supports the national acquisition initiative for Greystar’s active adult venture.

Wang joined Greystar in 2021 after completing her MBA from UCLA Anderson, bringing her years of experience in loan originations/deal structuring and strong financial acumen gained through obtaining her CFA designation. She was instrumental in building out the active adult acquisition pipeline, managing limited partnership relationships, and contributing to the team’s deployment goals. Her closing of seven transactions totaling more than $450 million led to her promotion to director within 1.5 years.

Wang sits on Greystar’s DEI committee, with a focus on  attracting diverse talents by partnering with industry groups and universities. She frequently represents Greystar as a presenter at events including the Forte Women’s conference. She also participates in several mentorship programs. She has been successful in adding two female analysts to the west acquisitions team in the past six months and continues to work towards of goal of achieving male/female parity.

Wang is an active member of CREW and serves on CREW’s Emerging Leaders Planning Sub-Committee.
