Ann Atkinson
Originated nearly $6 billion in financing to date
Regularly featured as a small-balance multifamily loans source in publications
Ann Atkinson joined Sabal Capital Partners, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Regions Bank, in 2022 and is Managing Director, Small Loan and Market Real Estate Production. Sabal is a finance provider with a deep specialization in small balance (sub $7.5 million) multifamily loans.
A sizable portion of Sabal’s finance activity comes from agencies like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and Atkinson manages the entire small balance agency loan production. To date, Sabal has originated nearly $6 billion in financing and maintains a $5 billion servicing portfolio.
Atkinson is also in charge of managing and building out Regions Bank’s Market Real Estate Capital Platform.
Before joining Sabal, Atkinson spent close to two decades at Fannie Mae, rising through the ranks to eventually serve as the agency’s Senior Director. She also worked with Berkshire Mortgage Finance.
She has been a member of Real Estate Finance Forum in Chicago, has participated in numerous multifamily and small loan-specific industry panels, and her commentary has been featured in several articles. Atkinson also enjoys mentoring individuals through the various stages of their careers.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose Ann Atkinson as one of Connect CRE’s National 2022 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
