Jacqueline Ryu
Oversaw iconic transactions including Hudson Yards development and Disney's new headquarters
Actively involved with Kramer Kevin's pro bono efforts
Serves on the Korean American Family Foundation
Entering the legal profession in 2014, Kramer Levin real estate attorney Jacqueline Ryu wasted no time in distinguishing herself by working on several monumental and iconic transactions. These included the Hudson Yards development, Disney’s New York headquarters, and the Farley post office. Her most significant deal to date was Vici Properties’ 2021 $17.2-billion acquisition of MGM Growth Properties. The buy led to the industry’s largest gaming REIT, based on total market capitalization.
Ryu’s dedication to successfully advising on high-profile legal matters is matched by her steadfast role outside of Kramer Levin as a working mother raising a young child while expecting a second. She also finds time to give back to those in need. Ryu is actively involved with Kramer Levin’s pro bono efforts, while serving on the firm’s women’s and diversity committees. She speaks Mandarin Chinese and Korean, and serves on the Korean American Community Foundation, which serves the Korean immigrant community in the greater New York area.
Ryu received her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and her law degree from Fordham University’s School of Law.
These are just a few reasons we chose Ryu as one of New York/Tri-State’s 2022 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s sixth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
