Assisted in generating 10 listings totaling 800,000 square feet

While with MSC, accounted for leasing 350,000 square feet of campus retail

Client roster includes Toll Brothers, Blackstone and Asana Partners

As a Senior Associate with Colliers’ Retail Services team, Maria Mainardi uses her experience in landlord representation to help with the agency leasing of retail lifestyle centers. She thrives in leasing redevelopment projects on behalf of her landlords, turning outdated centers into refreshing new co-tenancies. These tenants range from experiential retailers to best-in-class food and beverage operators.

Mainardi’s clients look to her for her vast knowledge of market trends and feedback on retail development and design, ensuring a desirable tenant mix and a better overall retail experience. Since joining Colliers, Mainardi and her team generated 10 listings in one year, with a total square footage of 800,000 square feet. Her client roster includes Toll Brothers, Blackstone and Asana Partners; she is currently working on three of the latter’s properties in West Palm, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa, FL. She recently closed on 23,000 square feet for the client, one of the largest deals for a single tenant.

Mainardi previously worked for MSC Retail’s University division, handling campus-edge and on-campus retail leasing efforts. During her time at MSC, Maria was responsible for leasing more campus-edge retail than anyone else in the country, accounting for roughly 350,000 square feet across 30 markets, including State College (Pennsylvania), Clemson University (South Carolina) and the city of Tallahassee, FL.

Mainardi has a unique ability to connect the right tenants to her projects based on a comprehensive understanding of property’s potential to the surrounding community.

These are just a few reasons we chose Mainardi as one of Florida/Gulf Coast’s 2022 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s sixth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
