Mark Moorhouse Helps Grow Dominium From 6,400 to 40,000 Units

Company:

Dominium

Mark Moorhouse has aided Dominium’s growth from a 6,400-home property manager in 1996 to one of the nation’s largest affordable-housing developers and managers. Today, Dominium has approximately 40,000 units across nearly 20 states.

As Partner, Co-CEO and Chief Development Officer, Moorhouse oversees the company’s overall strategy as well as its national development and acquisitions team, which includes more than 80 professionals spanning development, finance, construction, architecture and corporate affairs.

Moorhouse helped Dominium expand affordable housing at scale. He spent nearly three decades navigating federal, state and local affordable-housing programs, while contributing to portfolio acquisitions, new development, structured finance transactions and the creation of Dominium’s debt business.

His community endeavors include serving on Summit Academy’s Development Committee and as co-head of the Financing Committee. He also supports the Minnesota Housing Partnership through fundraising efforts.

Moorhouse is a founding contributor to the Dominium Foundation, which supports housing and social-service organizations in communities where the company operates.

These are some of the reasons why Mark Moorhouse was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Developer of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
